Scholarships
Be proactive in searching for scholarships to fund your nutrition education and path to becoming a dietetic professional.
There are five main avenues for funding to explore:
- Apply for university-level scholarships awarded by the nutrition department. Consult your academic advisor for more information.
- Apply for scholarships through your local district-level dietetic association. Many districts encourage students in their journal toward becoming a RD, the nutrition expert, by providing them with free money!
- Explore the Texas Dietetic Association Foundation (TDAF) website for statewide scholarships.
- Search the American Dietetic Association Foundation (ADAF) website for national scholarships. The ADAF awards over $200,000 worth of awards each year.
- If you are a TSDA member, apply for the TSDA scholarship awarded every spring at the TSDA meeting held at TDA FNCE.
