GENERAL INFORMATION
Texas Student Dietetic Association Officers, also known as the TSDA Executive Board, shall be elected by a majority vote of the voting chapters at the annual TSDA meeting. Individuals elected as state officers shall hold office from the close of the meeting through the next year's meeting conclusion. The state officers shall consist of and be elected in this order: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Historian.
TSDA OFFICER QUALIFICATIONS
1. Only active members will be eligible for a state office. (Graduate students may not run for office.)
2. The candidate must be currently enrolled in a CADE program and will continue enrollment for the following academic year.
3. A candidate may seek only one office.
4. No individual may serve in the same state office for more than two consecutive years.
5. All candidates should have the ability to express their ideas and to make decisions.
6. Officer applications must be received by the current president by the deadline specified in spring 2011. Applications will be screened and candidates will be notified of speaking order.
7. Candidates running for president must secure the signature of a Registered Dietitian in their community or school who will be willing to serve as the TSDA Liaison to TDA.
